REPLACING FUEL CYLINDERS
1. Screw the Propane Cylinder clockwise into the gas tube. Hand tighten only. Do not cross
thread. Use only a 16.4 oz (465g) cylinder with a No.800 connection.
Do not use a 14.1 oz (400g) cylinder.
MAINTENANCE
The flames should be about 6” to 8” tall and yellow in color. If any different your unit may need
cleaning.
To Clean:
Carefully remove any debris from the lava rock. Never use a vacuum cleaner. Do not obstruct the
flow of combustion and ventilation air.There should nothing but the lava rock around the burner
area.
Do NOT remove the burner, this is not a user serviceable part.
It is recommended that the firepit be stored indoors during the winter if it will be subjected to
freezing temperatures. The cylinder must be disconnected and removed from the appliance before
the appliance can be stored indoors, in a clean dry location. The cylinder must be stored outdoors
in a well-ventilated area out of the reach of children. Disconnected cylinders must have threaded
valve plugs tightly installed and must not be stored in a building, garage or any other enclosed
area.
When the appliance is equipped with a Type III Connection, the cylinder should be disconnected
when not in use.
