1. Confirm the crane hoist and any rigging meets ASME B30.9, B30.10 ,and ASME B30.26
requirements for quality performance.
2. Securely, attach the correct hoisting equipment to the bail, top shackle, or oblong, depending
on your beam’s features.
3. Make sure the hoisting equipment is securely attached and properly seated.
4. Verify both slings are correctly seated in their respective shackles and fully supporting the load.
1. Assure the hoisting equipment is in proper operating condition.
2. Know the rated capacity of your hoisting equipment.
3. Know the rated capacity of your Triangle Beam.
4. Know the weight of your Triangle Beam.
5. Know the weight of the designated load.
6. Know the combined weight, Triangle Beam and load.
7. Confirm the weight of the load is equal to or less than the rated
capacity of the Triangle Beam.
8. Confirm the weight of the loaded Triangle Beam is equal to or less
than the rated capacity of your hoisting equipment.
7. Confirm both sling rated capacities, attached to shackles are
equal to greater than the weight of the load.

Before lifting and transporting a loaded Triangle Beam,
loaded or unloaded:
-verify the transport area is clear of people and objects,
-make sure all lifter adjustments are correct and secure for the
designated load before load attachment,
-confirm all load attachment components have the correct
rated capacity for the load and lifter
Load loss.
Use only a vertical lift.
Do Not Bump, drag, or drop the load, during lifting or transporting.
Load loss could result in death, serious injury, or property damage.
