NUC (NON-UNIFORMITY CORRECTION)
NUC (NON-UNIFORMITY CORRECTION)
Each pixel of the matrix is susceptible to generate a signal, different from the signals of
other elements under the same conditions of observation. This non-uniformity leads
to the appearance of a geometric noise in the picture. This effect is especially shown
in the uncooled systems. Therefore it is necessary to perform a non-uniformity cor-
rection periodically, during operation with the thermal device. The NUC algorithm can
be activated manually or automatically (through specified intervals) by pressing
button. Pressing and holding the button (more than 2 seconds) deactivates the Auto
NUC function. In that case NUC will be carried out manually only when pressing
.
The activated automatic modus will be shown in the left upper corner of the image.

LUMINANCE / POLARITY
LUMINANCE / POLARITY
The device has four fixed values of the display luminance, marked with the following
icons:
,
, and
. With prolonged use of the device in low lighting condi-
tions the lower brightness levels are recommended. This results in optimal energy con-
sumption and greater observation comfort. Press and hold the
button for more
than 2 seconds to invert the image, i.e. warm objects appear in dark tones, cold - in
white and vice versa.
Press the
button to activate the digital zoom x2, press twice - x4.
The current digital zoom is shown at the top-right corner of the screen.
NOTE
The digital zoom reduces the quality of the image!
By pressing and holding the
button (more than 2 sec) a snapshot of the image is
taken and stored in the memory of the device. An indication
(saved) is displayed.
