PLUG-IN HYBRID SYSTEM

HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY GAUGE

The Battery Gauge shows

the high voltage battery

state of charge.
When the gauge reads

empty, the vehicle should

be plugged in to charge

the high voltage battery

and to allow maximum

EV operation again.

HYBRID SOUNDS

With its electric propulsion capability and the absence of

traditional engine noises, the CT6 PLUG-IN may produce some

unique sounds and vibrations that you may find unfamiliar. These

hybrid sounds and vibrations are part of the normal operation of

the vehicle.
•  The pedestrian alert noise generator feature emits a “static/

hissing” sound from the front of the vehicle to help warn

pedestrians that an electric propulsion vehicle is present.

•  The engine may start or stop while the vehicle is stationary or

moving based on the driver's power demand or hybrid system

automatic controls. An engine “revving” noise and a slight vibra-

tion may result.

•  Climate controls may run pumps, fans and  electronic parts that

may produce an audible sound or slight vibration.

•  The transmission motor may produce a futuristic “whine” sound

during acceleration, coasting or braking.

•  During plug-in charging, cooling fans and pumps may auto-

matically turn on/off underhood and at the rear of the vehicle.

See Driving and Operating in your Owner’s Manual.
