cargo floor in the trunk.
START CHARGING
1. With the vehicle parked, select the
Charging
button at the
bottom of the Energy Usage screen that appears on the infotain-
ment system once the vehicle is turned OFF.
2. Review the selected Charge Limit and Charge Mode. Adjust
the settings if an increased Charge Limit or different Charge
Mode is desired. Use the reduced charge limit until a qualified
electrician inspects the electrical circuit capacity of your home,
or if the electrical circuit or outlet capacity is not known.
Note: The Charge Limit selection returns to the default 8 amp setting each
time the vehicle is driven. If Location-Based Charging is enabled, the 12 amp
setting can be set as the default when charging at home.
3. Remove the charge
cord from the trunk
and plug it into an
electrical outlet. DO
NOT PLUG INTO
AN EXTENSION
CORD. The charge
cord indicator
should be green.
Where possible,
secure the charge
cord to the wall.
4. Press and release the rear edge of the charge port door, located
on the driver’s side of the vehicle, to open the door. Plug the
charge cord into the charge port.
CHARGING
5. The Charging Status Indicator on the instrument panel illumi-
nates green and a beep sounds when properly connected.
Note: After plugging in, the Charging Status Indicator may be yellow for a
few seconds before turning green.
Lock the vehicle with the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter to
arm the Charge Cord Theft Alert, if enabled. When the theft
alert is armed, the alarm will sound when the plug is discon-
nected from the locked vehicle. To change the Charge Cord
Theft Alert option, go to Settings > Vehicle > Energy on the
infotainment system.
To temporarily override a delayed charge event, remove and
reconnect the charge cord into the vehicle within 5 seconds.
Charging will begin immediately.
END CHARGING
Once charging is
complete, unlock
the vehicle with the
Remote Keyless
Entry transmitter,
unplug the charge
cord from the vehi-
cle and close the
charge port door.
Properly stow the charge cord in the trunk.
