the diesel engine, except those
items listed under

is covered for 5 years or
100,000 miles, whichever comes

coverages.
Cadillac DTS Protection Series
The Cadillac DTS Protection Series
is protected by GM's warranty
coverage, with the exception of the
transparent glass. See
Warranty
Coverage at a Glance on page 2
for
more information. The transparent
armor glass in your vehicle is
covered under warranty for 2 years
or 25,000 miles, whichever occurs
first. The glass can delaminate due
to excessive scratches to the inner
polycarbonate surface, extended
exposure to sunlight and high heat,
or if the windows are deep tinted.
In such instances, the glass
warranty may be voided. The GM
new vehicle limited warranty covers
all work performed by the armoring
upfitter, so there is no need to deal
directly or separately with the
upfitter for correction of any
problems associated with the
armoring or any of its special
components during the warranty
period.
What Is Not Covered
Tire and Wheel Damage or Wear
Normal tire wear or wear-out is
not covered. Road hazard damage
such as punctures, cuts, snags,
and breaks resulting from pothole
impact, curb impact, or from
other objects and tire wear
due to misalignment beyond the
maintenance period is not covered.
Also, damage from improper
inflation, overloading, spinning,
as when stuck in mud or snow, tire
chains, racing, improper mounting
or dismounting, misuse, negligence,
alteration, improper repair, accident,
collision or fire, vandalism or
misapplication is not covered.
Damage to wheels or tire sidewalls
caused by automatic car washes or
cleaning agents is not covered.
