INSTALLING NETWORK SOFTWARE

•

Double click on the disk icon to open it. Double click on the 
Installer

 icon to open the installation program. The logo screen 

should appear.

•

Click OK in the logo screen to bring you to the Installer screen.

•

When the Installer screen appears, be sure that the proper 
destination drive is selected. The hard drive should be selected 
by default. If it is not selected, click on the Switch Disk button 
to select the hard drive. 

•

Click on Easy Install. The Installer program automatically 
selects the proper system version for your Macintosh, System 6 
or System 7, and FDDITalk.

•

The system must  be rebooted after this installation.

Customizing must be done after rebooting from Easy Install. To 
use the Customize window, click on the Customize button. The 
Custom Install window will appear with installation options.

Select the optional SNMP management and/or the MacTCP 
interface if you would like to install either.

•

Click on the Install button. When installation is complete, a 
message will appear saying your Macintosh must be restarted.

•

Click on the Restart button, and your Macintosh will 
automatically restart.

After your Macintosh has restarted, the FDDITalk icon should be 
present in the Network option in the Control Panel.
