ADAPTER CARDS
SELECTION
Cable adapters normally are employed in pairs, one for the left side of the interface fixture, and
one for the right side. Select each adapter to match its respective end of the cable being tested.
Cablescan adapters are described at the end of this manual. A list of adapter cards is provided
later in the section.

INSTALLATION
To install the adapters proceed as follows:
1. Open ZIF connector levers, slide adapter cards in from the top and all the way laterally
into their respective connectors. Each adapter card is designed to fit on either the right or
left side.
2. Loosen knurled set screw to slide adjustable hold-down bar in or out to accommodate
width of adapter card.
3. With adapter cards properly in place, close ZIF connector levers.
4. Run Self Test before a cable is installed to make sure no shorts are present due to damage
or improperly installed adapters.
