Kickstand
NOTE
Risk of damage!
Damage to the e-bike due to an unauthorised mounting or an incorrect
application and overloading of the stand.
» If you are unsure or do not have the necessary expertise, have the
stand assembled by your dealer.
» Note the maximum permissible stand load.
» Fold in the stand before you move your e-bike.
» Never sit on your e-bike with the stand folded out. The stand may
break or the holder on the frame may be damaged.
Oskar / Heinrich / Hannah
The side stand is designed for an axial support load of max. 25 kg.
The side stand can be adjusted in length by turning the plastic foot 1 and
thus adapted to the conditions. Always make one full turn so that the foot
of the stand points away from the e-bike (fig. 45).

You can retrofit your e-bike with a stand by means of the Pletscher plate.
It is either an integral part of the frame or part of the scope of supply for
retrofitting.
On
www.schindelhauerbikes.com
, you will find an overview of
recommended attachment parts.

Bell
A bell for your e-bike is part of the scope of supply, but not mounted at
the factory.
To enable you to give other road users clearly audible acoustic signals
while cycling, your e-bike must be equipped with an appropriate bell when
participating in road traffic.
• Contact your dealer to have the bell replaced if you cannot produce a
clearly audible signal with the bell attached to your e-bike.
• Position the bell on the handlebar so that you can easily reach it without
taking your hand off the handlebar grip.

Checking the e-bike and components
!
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
After the first few kilometres travelled, cables can lengthen and spokes
or screw connections can become loose. The function of e-bike compo-
nents could fail, for example, in the form of brake failure.
» Have your specialist dealer perform an inspection after
200 km (1 month).
!
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
Material breakage due to operational wear and loose screw connec-
tions.
» Check the e-bike before every ride
» If in doubt, have your dealer show you how the e-bike is tested.
» Use the e-bike only if it is undamaged.
» Use the e-bike only if you do not notice excessive wear or loose
screw connections.
» Never loosen or adjust screw connections on the e-bike system,
especially on the battery or motor. Contact your dealer in case of
loose screw connections or pending maintenance work.
» If unusual noises on the e-bike cannot be eliminated, contact your
dealer.
Make yourself familiar with your e-bike before your first ride.
• Keep both handlebar grips firmly enclosed with your hands when cycling.
• Do not ride with one hand; the handlebars could overturn when braking.
• Get used to the riding characteristics of your e-bike away from road
traffic.
• If you are unfamiliar with the assignment of the brake levers for the front
and rear brakes, have them changed by your specialist dealer.
• Familiarise yourself with the braking characteristics of your brake type at
low speed away from road traffic.
• Also away from road traffic, practise how to use the shifting system until
you can operate the shifting system in such a way that your attention
is not impaired.
• Check whether you can adopt a comfortable sitting position even on
longer rides and whether you can safely operate all components on the
handlebars while cycling.

Checking the tyres
1. Check whether there are any cracks or foreign objects on the tyres.
2. Check whether the tyre pressure is sufficient. Underinflation affects the
cycling stability and the tyre wears out faster. You will find information
on the permissible air pressure on the side of the tyre.
