Tyres
!
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
Damaged tyres may burst while you are cycling.
» Regularly check whether the tyres are damaged or heavily worn.
NOTE
Risk of damage!
If the mounted tyres do not correspond to the original size, your e-bike
may be damaged.
» Contact your dealer if you have questions about tyre size or are
unsure.
The tyres are subject to unavoidable wear due to friction.
You can reduce tyre wear if you ensure that the air pressure is sufficiently
high and that the tyres do not lock during braking.
Tyres must be changed when they have become porous due to age,
when the tread pattern on the tread is worn or when the fabric of the tyre
becomes visible on the tread.
• Regularly check the tyres for foreign objects and remove them carefully.
• Have damaged, worn or porous tyres replaced by your dealer.
For the tyre data of the original configuration of your e-bike, refer to
⇨ section “Configuration table” page 178
50.1 Tyre inflation pressure
!
WARNING
Risk of accident and injury!
If the tyre pressure is too high, the inner tube may burst or the rim may
break while you are cycling. If the tyre pressure is too low, the tyre and
inner tube may be damaged.
» Observe the specifications for maximum and minimum tyre pressure
for your tyres.
» Contact your dealer if you are uncertain about the correct tyre
pressure for your tyres
The tire pressure affects the rolling resistance and suspension
of your e-bike. Observe the maximum tyre inflation pressure
indicated on the tyre flank.
A tyre inflation pressure corresponding to the specified lower limit is
suitable for:
• Lightweight cyclists,
• Cycling over uneven surfaces.
A tyre inflation pressure corresponding to the specified upper limit is
suitable for:
• Heavier cyclists,
• Cycling over even surfaces.
Regularly check whether the tyre inflation pressure is within the specified
range and adapted perfectly to the cyclist and intended use.

Wheel removal and installation
NOTE
Risk of damage!
Damage due to improper handling and assembly work.
» Never place the e-bike upside-down on the handlebars and saddle
during assembly work.
» Never operate the brake levers with the wheels removed. The brake
can shift and lead to a changed braking behaviour. Brake pistons can
drop out and brake fluid can leak.
51.1 Front wheel removal and installation
Removing the front wheel
1. Loosen the quick-release axle and pull it out to the side (fig. 46).
2. Take the front wheel downwards out of the fork.
Installing the front wheel
1. Insert the front wheel while carefully inserting the brake disc between
the brake pads.
2. Insert the quick-release axle and tighten it (10 Nm).

51.2 Rear wheel removal
51.2.1 Preparatory work
Heinrich / Hannah – Alfine
1. Switch to eighth gear.
2. Press the lug of the switch mechanism 1 clockwise so that the switch
cable relaxes (fig. 47).
3. Unhook the end of the cable 2 from the cable drum of the hub and
then the rubberised end of the shift cable cover 3 from the black sheet
metal flap 4 .
