*Calibrate Compass
–
go to Menu, the COMPASS option should be highlighted (selected).
Note: This task is required if the system was received without an LNB installed. It Should
be performed only once when the system is first set up or if the hardware is replaced.
a.
Press Enter; system will move up 45 degrees on Elevation and stop. Press Enter again to
start the calibration; the 8020 will restart after the calibration completes.

*RF Level (RF Sampling)

Once the 8020 Controller is restarted, press the Menu button and
scroll down to RF Level so it
’
s highlighted (selected) and press Enter.
Note: This task is required if the system was received without an LNB installed. It Should
be performed only once when the system is first set up or if the hardware is replaced.
*Perform these two routines if replacing and or installing a new LNB. These should be
performed at least once or whenever the system fails to lock on satellite. The system will
automatically perform both routines when satellite search fails during the auto search.

Once the RF Leveling (RF Sampling) completes, exit the menu.

Scroll down to Carrier screen, to select the desired Carrier do the following:
a.
Press Enter to highlight the carrier.
b.
Use the UP and Down arrows to view the available carriers in the list.
c.
Press Enter on the desired Carrier to select it. The satellite search will be based on this
carrier.
Note: User may login to the Web GUI Interface to operate the system. See Web GUI
Interface section in this Manual for further details.
