Step 10: Add wires to the “Ring”, “1”, “2”, “5”, “7” and the two Ground eyelets. Start
by cutting seven 4” pieces of wire. You will want to strip 1/4” off each end and tin the
ends. Tinning means to apply some solder to the stripped ends of the wires. This keeps
the strands from fraying and primes the wire for soldering. Load the wires in from the top
and solder on the bottom of the PCB. But before you strip and tin the wires, you’ll want
to measure them and trim them so that they will be the proper length for connecting to the
footswitch. It would probably be easier to do this after the entire PCB assembly has been
installed into the enclosure.
