Check the filter and the flushing water pipe for
proper installation. The stop valves must not be
opened yet. Check the transparent cylinder (3) for
proper fit and then close the turning knob (5) by
turning it clockwise.
Slowly open the stop valves before and after the
filter and deaerate the pipework at the air bleed
closest to the filter (after the filter).
Before backwashing provide a collecting basin, if
the flushing water pipe is not connected to the
waste water system.
Open the turning knob counter-clockwise until
you can hear water running out and then close it
again. Check whether the filter is correctly sealed.
Backwashing
Open the turning knob (5) counter-clockwise
until you can hear water running out and then
close it again. Check whether the filter is cor-
rectly sealed.
The plastic parts may only be cleaned with a
soft, damp cloth. Do not use any solvents or
detergents nor acid cleaners.
A backwash must be carried out once a month to
prevent dirt particles from settling on the filter cloth
(or more frequently with higher amounts of dirt).
Before starting the backwash procedure,
provide a collecting basin, if the flushing water pipe
is not connected to the waste water system.
All technical equipment requires regular mainte-
nance. According to DIN 1988, maintenance must
be carried out by expert technical staff who also
replaces the parts subject to wear and tear. We
therefore recommend closing a maintenance
contract.
Maintenance must be carried out once a year, or
twice a year for communal installations. It is to be
carried out by the installer or manufacturer.

(see Specifications or rating plate).
Any warranty work may only be carried out by our
Customer Service.
Non-compliance with the installation conditions
and maintenance/repair carried out by unautho-
rized operator voids the warranty.
