How to Use the Base Station
How to Use the Base Station
Since the Base Station pushbuttons are not labelled, you need
to refer to the LCD. You can operate the Station by pressing
the pushbutton under the corresponding option.
Activating the Station
To activate the Station, connect power or if power is
connected, press any
C
on the Base Station.
Self-Test
The Station performs a self-check on startup that lasts
approximately 4 seconds.
The batteries are tested on activation and continuously after. If
battery power is extremely low,
flashes.
The MultiMediaCard icon
S
is displayed continuously when the
card is present.
Deactivating the Station
Disconnect power to the station or remove the batteries.
Note:
The Result History is not saved when the station is powered
down.
Note:
The detector will turn off approximately 25 minutes after a
bump or calibration, if no activity is detected.
Energy Conservation
To conserve energy, press
sleep
C
. This allows for reduction
in the amount of power consumed by the Station while it is not
in use.
Note:
If the MicroDock is placed into sleep mode, approximately 10
seconds later the detector turns off.
Note:
When the Station is not in use, batteries should be removed
so they do not drain unnecessarily.
Inserting a Detector into a Docking Module
1. Press the two release tabs on the Docking Module
and rotate the lid up.
