5.4
Door panel construction
5.4.1 Fibreglass door panels
The door panel is comprised of double-plated fibreglass beams. They have light transmission of up to 78%
(depending on colour and thermal insulation properties). The fibreglass door panels are attached to the header
pieces and equipped with aluminium connector sections.
5.4.2 Design of the vision elements
The following vision elements are available as an option: Panorama door panels consisting of SAN and viewing
windows consisting of acrylic glass.
5.4.3 Door panel group
The door panels are connected to one another with movable hinges.
5.5
Door frame
The door frame consists of two lateral guide rails, in which the movement of the door panels are directed by
means of guide rollers. In the upper part of the vertical guide rail, the console with drive system is attached on
the drive side. The connecting pipe transfers the motor torque to the non-drive side.
5.5.1 Guide mechanism
The door frame is guided along the vertical guide rails with guide rollers. The interior cover plate can be
removed (e.g. for maintenance). The door panels are guided through rails in the ceiling area. The electricity is
supplied to the signal-leading photo eye via an power chain installed in the guide rail. The vertical guide rails
are sealed off from the door panels with brushed profiles and a rubber profile.
5.5.2 Drive system position variants
Depending on the space requirements of the building there are different positions for the drive system.
With all drive system variants, the drive torque transferred through the belt from the drive mechanism is applied
to the door through the driver attached to the bottom door panel and thus enables door movement.
5.5.2.1
Direct drive system (low lintel console)
Direct drive system means that the drive system is on the drive shaft. A requirement for this is that there is
sufficient space available next to the guide rail on the drive side, in order to be able to place the motor on the
drive shaft.
Note!
In rare cases, condensation from air humidity can result in a minor and partially limited change in optical
characteristics. This effect is technically unavoidable, of limited duration, and has no influence whatsoever
on the quality or durability of our product.
