MAINTENANCE

Important: Both the maintenance and repair of the jack may only be performed by qualified personnel,

who have sufficient knowledge of the hydraulic system used in these devices as a result of their training

and experience.

1. Keep the jack clean and lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals( See Fig 5), Moving parts should

be clean and protected from aggressive conditions at all times

2. Only original spare parts should be used.   See seperate parts list.

3. Prior to each use, check for bent, broken, cracked or loose parts and solve the problem, if appropriate. If

it is suspected that the jack has been subjected to abnormal loads or has suffered any damage, withdraw

it from service until the problem has been rectified.

4. If the oil level needs to be checked or refilled, with the piston fully retracted, remove the filler plug and

drain its contents into a container. Make sure that no dirt enters with the new oil. Following a period of

prolonged intensive use, it is recommendable to change the oil in order to extend the useful life of the

jack.

Important:

Over filling the jack with oil may render the jack inoperative.

5. Only use hydraulic oil, type HL or HM.with an ISO grade of cinematic viscosity of 30 cST at 40 degrees.

Extremely Important:

Never use brake fluid.

6. When the jack is not in use, make sure the lifting arm is fully retracted to avoid corrosion.

7. Keep the jack in a clean, dry place and out of children reach.

8. Both the repair kit, which exclusively contains the o-rings and seals of the jack, and the spare parts sets

must be ordered using the part numbers assigned in the parts list.

PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE

IMPORTANT:

The greatest single cause of failure in hydraulic units is dirt. Keep the service jack clean and

well lubricated to prevent foreign matter from entering the system. If the jack has been exposed to rain,

snow, sand or grit. It must be cleaned before use.

1. Store the jack in a well-protected area where it will not be exposed to corrosive vapors, abrasive dust,

or any other harmful elements

2. Regularly lubricate the moving parts such as wheels, arms, handle and pump roller pin.

3. Replace the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir at least once per year. To check the hydraulic fluid level,

lower the lifting arm completely. Remove the rubber filler plug from the power unit. The hydraulic fluid

level should be at the bottom of the filler plug. If necessary, add hydraulic fluid, and install the filler plug.

IMPORTANT:

The use of alcohol or hydraulic brake fluid could damage the seals and result in jack failure.

4. Inspect the jack before each use. Take corrective action if any of the following problems are found:

a. cracked, damaged, other damage

b. excessive wear, bending, other damage

c. leaking hydraulic fluid

d. scored, damaged piston rod

e. loose hardware

f. modified equipment

5. Keep warning labels and instructional decals clean and readable. Use a mild soap solution to wash

external surfaces of the jack.
