OPERATION
Battery Installation (fig. 1.1)
Squeeze the 2 wings on the battery compartment cover together to release the cover. Install two AA batteries
(not
included)
correctly according to the polarity diagrams inside the battery compartment and replace the cover.
DO NOT MIX BATTERY TYPES, OR MIX NEW AND OLD BATTERIES.
Remove and store batteries when the device is not in use.
Power and IR Control (fig. 1.7)
Powering up and adjusting IR (Infra-Red illumination) intensity can be controlled by turning the switch located at the
back of the device housing

. Rotate the switch to the right. The switch will produce a tactile click when power-
ing on and off.
To activate the IR and adjust IR brightness simply continue to rotate the power switch to the right until it cannot be
rotated any further.
Note
: since the Digital Sentry uses digital night vision
technology (not analog “Gen 1”, etc.), the unit cannot be
damaged by exposure to normal indoor or outdoor light levels-
however, you should avoid pointing it directly at the sun or
other very bright light sources to avoid overloading the sensor.
CAUTION : Not recommended for rifle/ammo > 370 G-force.
