Open the CD compartment (on the front edge, where there is a scooped recess), and
remove the cardboard shipping protector.  Close the CD lid.

2.

Plug the power cable into the socket on the back of the boombox and plug the mains
power plug into the mains power wall socket and switch on

3.

Fully extend the telescopic radio aerial on the back of the Boombox to receive the best
possible radio reception and sound quality.

Power connection / Inserting batteries (optional)

Before inserting the batteries (not included), please ensure that the Boombox is switched
off (slide the On/Off switch at the back of the Boombox to ‘Off’) and is unplugged from
the mains power supply.

1.

Underneath the Boombox, press in the two battery compartment tabs and pull up to
remove the battery compartment cover.

2.

Insert 6 x 1.5V C-size (also known as LR-14 and UM-2) batteries

making sure to note

the ‘+’ and ‘-’ markings and position the batteries the correct way around.

3.

Replace the battery compartment cover, making sure that it ‘clicks’ home.

Note:

When the battery power is low, you will notice that the audio quality will be a

little distorted and the volume will be quieter.  Please switch off the Boombox and
replace the batteries.

Initial set-up

1.

Slide the On/Off switch at the back of the Boombox to ‘On’.  ‘Welcome to Digital
Radio’ will be displayed and then your Boombox will go to Standby mode.

2.

Press and release the Power/Mode button.  The first time you switch on your
Boombox or if the station list is empty, your Boombox will automatically begin to
scan for DAB radio stations.  A progress bar will show the progress of the scan and the
number of stations found during the scan will also be displayed.

When the scan is complete your Boombox will select the first available station and
begin to play. Stations are listed in numerical and then alphabetical order by default.

Change the mode

Press and release the Power/Mode button to change between DAB radio, FM radio, CD,
and AUX modes.  Please check the display, which will confirm the mode.

Adjusting the volume

Turn the rotary volume control away from you to increase the volume and towards you to
decrease the volume.

Note:

Always keep the volume within reasonable limits.

Time and date

The first time you listen to DAB radio, the time and date of your product will be
synchronised automatically to that broadcast by the DAB service in 24 hour mode; which
is in line with daylight saving, so there is no need to set the time and date manually.

If you do wish to set the time and date manually, turn on the Boombox and follow the
steps below:

1.

Press and hold the Menu/Info button until <Full scan> is displayed.

2.

Use the Rotary tune wheel to move to <System>.  Press and release the Select button.

3.

<Time> is displayed.  Press and release the Select button. <Set Time/Date> is
displayed.  Press and release the Select button.

4.

Set time is displayed and the hour digits will flash.  Use the Rotary tune wheel to scroll
to the correct hour.  Press and release the Select button.

5.

The minutes will now flash. Use the Rotary tune wheel to scroll to the correct minutes.
Press and release the Select button.
