5. Adjustment is achieved by turning the Adjusting Nuts
at the Rear Deck Hangers on each side of the deck
until the blade tips are at the 3” position.
6. After the blade tips are at the 3” position on both
sides, place a level on the top of the deck, positioned
front to rear.
7. At the Front Hangers, turn the Adjusting Nuts on each
side to raise or lower the deck until the deck is level.
Do this procedure on both sides of the deck.
8. Once the deck is level on both sides, check the level
of the deck side to side by placing the level on the
front of the deck, Some minor adjustment may be
necessary.
9. After the deck is level on both sides, recheck the
blade tips for the 3” position. Some minor adjustment
may be necessary.
Transaxle Maintenance
This Zero Turn Mower has two Transaxles. The
Transaxles have serviceablel filters for ease of mainte-
nance. To ensure fluid quality and longer life, changing
the oil and filter after the initial 100 hours of Zero Turn
Mower usage then in 400 hour intervals thereafter is rec-
ommended.
NOTE: Recommended oil is API classification of SL
is recommended. A 20W-50 engine oil has been se-
lected for use by the factory and is recommended for
normal operating temperatures.
NOTE: Biodegradable oils are not approved for this
unit as they degrade too quickly while in service.
Fluid and Filter Change Procedure
The following procedure can be performed with the
transaxle installed in the vehicle. The Zero Turn
Mower must be parked on a level surface, parking
brake set and bypass valve on each transaxle ap-
plied.
Allow the Zero Turn Mower to cool down before pro-
ceeding to perform maintenance.
1. Place an oil drain pan (12” or more in diamter and 8
qt. capacity is optimal) beneath the oil filter. Remove
the oil filter cover from the transaxle to drain the oil.
Remove the O-ring from the cover and discard the O-
ring.
Use Bush Hog Filter Kit 50072375 (Includes “O”
Ring and Filter) . Two Kits required per Zero Turn
Mower.
