POSSIBLE CAUSE
Cold oil
Low oil supply or air in
hydraulic system.
Defective fittings or hoses.
Loose connections.
Worn or damaged seals at
rod end of cylinder.
Seal in valve worn or
damaged.
Tractor relief valve set too
low or stuck open.
Improper rate of flow
through control valve in
tractor or on loader.
Worn control valve.
Worn cylinder piston seals.
Float position not used
while operating loader.
Hoses from independent
control valve improperly
connected to rear of tractor.
Hydraulic control valve relief
stuck open.
Hydraulic control valve set
too low.
Hoses improperly
connected.
REMEDY
Warm oil by raising and lowering boom with
tractor at half throttle.
Check for oil leaks or loose connections. Check
oil supply and add proper amount and type of oil.
Replace fittings or hoses. Reseal and tighten
connections.
Have authorized Bush Hog dealer replace seals.
Have authorized Bush Hog dealer replace seals.
