Misc Settings: Configure LCD Backlight
To configure the brightness and display time of the LCD backlight, do the following:
1. Tap the Settings menu.
2. Tap the Phone settings option in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Tap the Misc. settings option.
4. Tap the LCD backlight option.
5. Use the stylus to move the Brightness slider to the left, to dim the display, or to the
right, to make it brighter.
6. Use the stylus to move the Time (sec) slider to designate how many seconds the
LCD backlight should remain on.
7. Click Back to save your changes.
Net Settings
Network Selection
To configure the Network Selection option, do the following:
1. Tap the Settings menu.
2. Tap the Net settings option in the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. Tap the Network selection option once to set it to Automatic . Tap it again to set
it to Select and then make a selection from the list that appears.
4. Click Back to save your changes.
Preferences
To configure the Preferences option, do the following:
1. Tap the Settings menu.
2. Tap the Net settings option in the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. Tap the Preferences option.
4. On the screen that appears, tap the name of the network that you want to set as
the preferred network in the system.
5. Click Back to exit the screen.
6. Click Back again to save your changes.
GPRS Connection
To configure the availability of the GPRS connection, do the following:
1. Tap the Settings menu.
2. Tap the Net settings option in the bottom left corner of the screen.
3. Tap the GPRS connection option and a small popup screen will appear,
displaying the current configuration of the connection's availability: either
Always or When needed .
4. (Optional) Tap the option again to switch from Always to When needed or vice
versa.
5. Click Back to save your changes.
