Connection of the blow back line and the pressure vessel (for GAS 222.21 AMEX, 31 
AMEX and 35 AMEX) 

 

DANGER 

 

Explosive gases 

Probes with blow back port are 

not suited for us with explosive gases!

 

 

DANGER 

 

Explosion hazard due to adiabatic compression 

 

Because of adiabatic compression high gas temperature during blow back proce-
dure is possible.  

Blow back to explosive gas is not allowed

. 

Blow back to 

flammable gas

 is only allowed with 

nitrogen

 

(or another inert 

gas

). 

The tubes must be connected with appropriate fittings. 

If the sample probe is equipped with a blow back pressure vessel (optional) a manual shut off valve (ball 
valve) must be installed at the plant air inlet (inert gas). Blow back of flammable gas is only allowed with 
nitrogen (inert gas). Blow back is not allowed with explosive gases 

  NOTE 

 

Blowback is only possible if the pressure of the available plant air (inert gas) is 
higher than the process pressure, i.e. pressure-difference at least 3 bar/43 psi. 

 

DANGER 

 

Break of the pressure vessel 

Max. air pressure of the pressure vessel line is 10 bar/145 psi.

Wrong mains voltage may damage the device. 

Regard the correct mains voltage as given on the type plate.
