Shutdown
7.1
Shutting down the DHW cylinder
▶ Shut down the heating system (
operating instructions for the
control unit and the heat source).
7.2
Shutting down the DHW cylinder if there is a risk of
frost
▶ Shut down the heating system (
operating instructions for the
control unit and the heat source).
▶ Close the shut-off valve for cold water inlet (EK).
▶ Open the drain valve.
▶ In order to vent the cylinder, open the air vent valve or the highest
draw-off tap.
▶ Fully drain the DHW cylinder and dry out the inside.

Controls
8.1
Operating the control unit
▶ Observe the operating and installation instructions.
8.2
Control of steam-heated DHW cylinders
▶ Control steam-heated DHW cylinders on the steam side.
Control on the condensate side is not possible.
▶ Carry out the installation in the cold water supply.
NOTICE:
Cylinder damage from frost!
We recommend that you leave the DHW cylinder in use
when you are away from home, if there is a risk of frost.
▶ Activate the holiday function on the control unit or
select the lowest domestic hot water temperature.
DANGER:
Risk of scalding from hot water!
▶ Let the DHW cylinder cool down sufficiently after
shutting it down.
NOTICE:
Risk of cylinder damage through corrosion!
After draining, residual moisture can cause corrosion.
▶ Fully drain the DHW cylinder via the drain valve –
including the lowest part of the DHW cylinder.
▶ Let the inside dry out thoroughly and leave the
covers of the inspection apertures open.
Since it is not possible to raise the condensate with
steam-heated DHW cylinders, the condensate has to be
drained via the collector.
▶ Align the collector horizontally.
In the case of controls with temperature controllers
without auxiliary energy, it is always necessary to have
pump circulation for steam-heated DHW cylinders.
