Setback Mode
The control allows you to choose a lower nighttime, setback temperature.
You can choose from one of the following four modes
for night setback.
1. Outside Air Setback - OASETBACK (Factory Setting)
2. Setback - SETBACK
3. Boiler Off - BLR OFF
4. Room Setback - RMSETBACK
Selecting the setback mode
OASETBACK:
If the outside temperature is below the FREEZTEMP,
(FREEZTEMP was set on page 10), boiler runs on a
setback curve.
If the outside temperature is above the FREEZTEMP,
heating system is off.
SETBACK:
The boiler is set to the lower nighttime temperature. Set
directly with temperature button on control panel. This
mode is only to be used when no BFC is connected. The
pump runs continuously based on the nighttime room
temperature.
BLR OFF:
The heating circuit is
completely switched off
during
setback times, except when the outside temperature is
below the FREEZTEMP, then the system runs on a
setback curve.
RMSETBACK:
The nighttime room temperature is set with the slide
switch on the BFC room sensor. This mode requires
the use of the BFC.

Changing the ROOM COMP:
(Room temperature compensation)
The BFC room sensor compensates for swings in room temperature,
(ie: solar gain, open windows, etc.). The amount of compensation
can be adjusted according to individual preference.
The room temperature compensation range can only be changed if
a BFC room sensor has been activated.
Example:
With the ‘ROOM COMP” at OFF, the BFC room
sensor will have no effect on the boiler water
temperature.
The amount of room temperature change that the
control compensates for is adjustable. With the
“ROOM COMP” at 15˚ F, the BFC will be able to
adjust to a 15˚ F (+10/-5) swing in room
temperature by adjusting boiler water temperature
accordingly.
The factory setting is 5˚ F; range is 0°F to 18°F.
To change the “ROOM COMP”:
1. Enter the key code.
2. Press the “INS” button repeatedly until “ROOM COMP”
appears in the display.
3. Turn the knob until “OFF”, or the desired temperature
appears in the display.
Automatic operation is resumed after 20 seconds.
