Check that the warning symbols on
the instrument are legible.

If they are dirty, clean them.

Wipe down the protection shields with

Make sure that they click into place. If
not, replace the gliding elements. See

If defective or damaged, replace

Switch the On/Off master switch to
Off.

Make sure that there are no extrac-
tion beakers in the instrument.

Check the reflector foil for dirt.
