Maintenance
•
Please clean the heating element regularly.
•
Unplug the unit from the mains supply before cleaning.
•
The base unit must not be immersed in water.
•
Do not use abrasive chemicals on any part of the warmer.
•
Do not use proprietary kettle de-scalers to clean the heating element.
Cleaning the base heating element
•
Lime-scale build up may affect the function and performance of the steriliser. The heating
element should be wiped clean of any deposits left by water as soon as they are visible.
Scale residue can be removed with a solution of 50ml white vinegar in the heating
element for 30 minutes. Assemble the unit as normal and complete a full sterilisation
cycle (WITHOUT BOTTLES). Follow this with two further cycles using fresh water (again
without bottles) to rinse. Then wipe the heating element with a damp cloth.
•
DO NOT immerse the base unit in water.
Cleaning of the Main Body and Bottle Container
•
After unplugging the unit from the mains supply, the body can be wiped down with a
soft, damp, non-abrasive cloth. The bottle container, accessory holder and lid can be
washed in warm soapy water, then thoroughly rinsed in clean water.
•
If water starts leaking from the base of the unit, unplug it immediately and contact the
Kogan customer support team.
