Oil Circulate
4.4.1 Warming oil
a) The oil should be warmed to at least 5°C prior to hammer operation to prevent cold oil
bypassing the return filter
b) If circumstances allow, the oil in the BSP HP125 should be warmed to 20°C by circulating oil
over the relief valve at 50% flow.
4.4.2 Purging oil
a) Connect hoses to power pack
b) Join the two hoses together at the hammer end
c) Start pack and activate System Load valve on power pack panel to circulate oil to the hammer
d) Switch on power at hammer control box and adjust flow to maximum
e) Circulate oil for at least 60 minutes to clean system
f) Switch off SLV, stop pack
g) Connect hoses to hammer ready for use
h) If possible confirm oil cleanliness by particle analysis
4.4.3 Hammers fitted with OCV
Hammers are fitted with a 3 position valve on the hammer to facilitate purging and circulation of warm oil
within the hammer without the need to remove the hoses

For circulating warm oil the switch on the hammer control box has to be operated to the oil
circulation position
