Safety instructions
Operate the basic stove as per these operating instructions and note the following
information on the proper handling of the firebox to ensure efficient and
environmentally friendly heating.
Caution! The stove and stove door with view pane become hot during combustion
and there is a risk of burns. Use a glove to open the stove door.
Do not place combustible objects on or in the direct vicinity of the stove. Maintain a
distance of at least 80 cm between combustible objects and the stove door.
If fireplaces are installed in living areas and the combustion air is taken from the
room where the fireplace is installed, the operator must ensure that the fireplace is
supplied with sufficient combustion air.
What to do in the event of a chimney fire
−
Close the combustion air inlet and keep it closed
−
Call the fire brigade and the chimney sweep!
−
Enable access to the cleaning openings (e.g., cellar and attic)!
−
Remove all combustible materials from the chimney!
−
Before using the fireplace again, notify your chimney sweep and have the
chimney checked for damage.
−
Equally, the chimney sweep should determine the cause of the chimney fire and
remedy this.
