Used term Description
Base Temperature Lowest temperature that can be achieved by a cryogenic
refrigerator.
Box Any kind of package used to protect sensitive parts during
transportation.
Cryostat The collective of all parts providing a temperature of 4 K
inside for the superconducting magnet. The cryostat also
provides the safety devices and the access ports for
electricity. The superconducting magnet inside the cryostat
is not energized.
Magnet System The collective of all parts necessary for the intended use.
The superconducting magnet inside the cryostat is
energized.
