SING THE “PHONE” FUNCTION
Foreword.
When the cordless is waiting, i.and. when the line is not engaged and no operation is running,
the display shows:
•
on the
fi
rst line: “PT(1) BS(1)”
(numbers identify the cordless (HS) and the base (BS). Or the name you have selected.
•
on the second line: “14/10 14:09”
(14=day; 10=month; 14:09=present time), if you have adjusted them previously.
6.1 ANSWERING A CALL
•
Awhen a call comes in, the cordless will ring and the icon
will
fl
ash on the display.
If the cordless is connected directly to the telephone line (not through a PABX) and the
caller identi
fi
cation service has been activated by your company, the caller’s telephone
number will appear on the display (if it is available), or the caller’s name, if it has been
previously stored in the number book.
•
Press any button to answer, the display shows the icon .
•
To end the conversation, press the button
or place the cordless back on the base.
The
icon
wil disappear.
6.2 MAKE A CALL WITH MANUAL SELECTION
•
Press the button
to engag the line.
•
With the line engaged, the display shows the icon .
•
Check that there id a dialing tone and dial the number using the buttons.
•
The number selected will appear on the display.
•
At the end of the conversation, press the button
again or place the cordless back on
the base, and the line will be disconnected.
6.3 CONVERSATION WITH SPEAKER
The loudspeaker function is activated and deactivated pressing the button
when the
line is engaged.
When the loudspeaker is activated, you hear the voice from the loudspeaker, and the
display shows the symbols
and (press repeatedly the buttons
VOL+
and
VOL+
to adjust
the loudspeaker volume).
During the conversation with the loudspeaker you can return to standard mode, pressing
again the button
.
To end the conversation, press the button
.
6.4 PRE-SELECTION
•
Before engaging the line, dial the number using the buttons, using a maximum of 24
fi
gures.
•
The
fi
gures appear on the display, and you can check them before engaging the line.
•
If you dial a wrong
fi
gure, press the button
CH-
to cancel the last
fi
gure; to cancel all the
number, keep the button
CH-
, pressed, the number will be cancelled, and the device
returns to stand-by.
•
After checking the number on the display, press display, press
to engag the line.
•
The
fi
gures will be selected.
•
At the end of the conversation, place the cordless on the base and press the button
again.
NOTE:
if your handset is connected to a PABX switchboard, to use the pre-selection button it
is necessary ton insert a pause of some seconds between the switchboard code and
the telephone number. Insert the pause, press the
RP/P
, button, the display shows the
letter “
P
”.
6.5 RP LIST: LAST NUMBERS CALLED
Your cordless stores the last 10 numbers dialled, and gives you the possibility of recalling
them.
Foreword: If your handset is connected to a PABX switchboard, to recall the numbers of the
list it is necessary, while dialling the number, to insert a pause (pressing the button
RP/P
)
between the code accessing the outside line and the telephone number.
