5) DMX Data 2+ *
* Not in use but connected in between the two connectors (passive loop
through). Certain third party devices use this optional second communi-
cation line. Note that the DMX interface is galvanically isolated from the
internal control circuitry and the Power in / out interface.
Setup in mains operation (serial DMX chain)
For every LED F160 lamp you intend to control via DMX you will need
one DMX adapter box and one power supply unit. Connect the devices
as shown in the diagram on page 5. Always plug in the power plug last.
Please note that you will need suitable 5-pin DMX cables.
Caution:
At the last DMX device in the DMX chain, the DMX cable has to be
terminated with a terminator (120 ohm ± 5 %, min. 0.25 W) between Data 1-
and Data 1+ pin. Follow the instructions provided by third-party manu-
facturers.
Caution:
The DMX adapter box is exclusively designed for use in DMX512
networks controlled by a DMX512 compliant DMX controller.
Extension cables
No extension cable shall be used in between the LED F160 lamp and the DMX
adapter box. Likewise, no extension cable shall be used in between the DMX
adapter box and the power supply unit. In case an extension is needed, the "AC
mains cable" can be extended.
