Click Start. After a few seconds, the
Current Signal Strength
should read 0.30000 and you
should hear an audible beep from the computer (make sure volume is turned up). With a
1m antenna you should achieve a signal strength between 15-19.0000.
9.
Close the pointing aid, de-power the modem
and connect the TX lead
.
After re-powering (2-3 minutes) the RX and TX lights should be solid green.
If the TX light is off, there may be a problem with the location information…either an incorrect
option file or no GPS signal (see below).
If the LAN light is solid green, then the modem is ‘in network’ and should be ready to use.
If it is flashing, there is a networking problem and you will need to call the support desk.
