Holding external calls
Escort enables you to hold an external call. You can then make or answer
another call or speak to someone else in your office; the caller in Hold will
not be able to hear what you are saying. T he held call may be either
incoming or outgoing.
To hold an external call
Tell your caller what you are going to do
and ask him to hold on.
Press the
LINE
button you are using
to make the call.
To return to a held caller
Escort puts your caller into Hold. The
lamp next to the LINE button
flashes rapidly

Press the LINE button next to the
rapidly flashing lamp.
Escort reconnects you to the caller he!d
on that line.
Reminder ringback on hold
If you replace your handset when you have a call in Hold your telephone will
ring rapidly to remind you to deal with the call.
