D. Place the base into the car in the
selected seating position with the
Stabilising bar beside the car’s seat
back as shown.
E. Open the belt cover. Extend the seat
belt to maximum length. For a lap-
sash seat belt, position the tongue
in the middle of the fully extended
belt. Feed the seat belt through the
opening and the guides on each
side of the base, following the blue
REAR-FACING SEATBELT PATH
labels on each side.

C. For car’s with flat seats, some
packing (such as firmly rolled up
nappy or towel) may be required
to get a better angle and to have
the stabilising bar contact the car’s
seat back or close to the seat.

F. Engage the seat belt tongue to
the buckle.
G. Pull the slack out of the seat
belt and ensure the base is held
firm against the seat back. If a
lap-sash seat belt is used then
allow the excess sash belt to
feed back in to the retractor.
Then close the Belt cover.
To remove the base from the car, release the seat belt, lift the belt
cover and pull the seat belt out.
NOTE:
If seatbelt loosens refer to page 52 for use of alternative Gated
3-Bar Slide.
