Vehicle Seat Belts

IMPORTANT:

Vehicle seats and vehicle seat belts differ from vehicle to vehicle Refer to your

vehicle owner’s manual for specific information about vehicle seat belts and their use with

child seats This booster seat can fit securely in most vehicles using existing vehicle seat belts

However, some vehicles do not have seating positions which are compatible with this booster seat

or any other child restraint If in doubt, contact the vehicle manufacturer for assistance
To protect your child in a crash, you must use this booster seat with vehicle seat belts that are

compatible This booster seat can only be used with three-point (lap-shoulder) vehicle seat belts

The vehicle owner’s manual will have information on the types of vehicle seat belts in your vehicle

If your vehicle seat belt type is identified on page 27 as incompatible, select another seating

position

Vehicle Head Restraints

WITH BACKREST: Proper positioning of the booster seat may

require adjusting or removing the vehicle head restraint to allow the

backrest to lie flat against the vehicle seat back If the vehicle head

restraint cannot be adjusted or removed, a different seating position

or different booster seat should be used
WITHOUT BACKREST: Use only as a backless booster when used

in a seating position with a vehicle head restraint See your vehicle

owner’s manual for booster seat positioning instructions

The following types of vehicle seat belts are

NOT

compatible with this child seat If any of

the belt types listed below are in the chosen seating position, choose another vehicle seating

position or check your vehicle owner’s manual for information on installing a car seat in your

vehicle

Lap-shoulder belts

with top or bottom

anchor points on the

vehicle door.

Motorized, automatic

vehicle seat belts.

Lap only belts

NOTE:

This booster seat may not be compatible with every inflatable lap-shoulder belt found in

all vehicle makes and models. See FAQs in the support section of the Britax website

(us.britax.com/faqs) for additional instructions.
