8. USE AS A BOOSTER SEAT
8.1 REMOVING THE BACKREST
The child seat can also be used for age group 3 (22 kg to 36 kg) as a booster
seat without the backrest.
The following steps describe the removal and assembly of the backrest. You will
need a TX20 Torx screwdriver for this.
BRITAX RÖMER recommends, if possible, that you use the backrest as this offers
your child optimum protection in the case of a side impact.
DANGER! Only use the product as a booster seat for age group 3 (22 to 36 kg).
For all other age groups, the product must be used with backrest .
1. Place the seat on a level surface.
2. Lift the cover of the backrest

and turn it back.
3. Lift the cover of the seat cushion

and turn it back.
4. Release the 4 Torx screws on the backrest

5. Pull the backrest

away from the seat cushion

at an angle.
6. In order to keep the screws safe, screw the 4 screws
back into the holes provided in the backrest

7. Pull the cover of the seat cushion

back and hook
the transparent plastic piece on the notch provided.
