Troubleshooting
Symptom Cause Remedy
No flow or low flow rate
and / or varying
temperatures.
Partially closed stop or service
valve in water supply pipeworkto
the mixervalve.
Open stop or servicevalve.
Instantaneous water heater
cycles on and off as the flow rate
or pressure is toolow.
Increase water flow rateor
pressure through system
Contact the boilermanufacturer.
Head of water is below the
minimum distancerequired.
Refer to thespecifications
section.
Inlet filter is partiallyblocked.
Clean or replace, flushthrough
pipework before refitting.
Hot or coldwater being drawn off
elsewhere causing pressure
changes or instantaneous boiler
changes.
Do not use other wateroutlets
when using the showervalve.
Make sure the maintainedinlet
pressures are nominally
balanced and sufficient.
If pressures are unbalanced
then a pressure reducingvalve
should be used.
Airlock or partial blockage of the
pipework.
Flush through pipework to
ensure removal of debrisand
any airlocks.
No hot or cold water reaching the
shower valve.
Check hot and cold feeds (the
valve willshut down if either the
hot or cold supplyfails).
Water leaking from
showerhead.
This is normal for a short time
after turning off.
Adjust the angle of the
showerhead as necessaryto
vary draining time.
Shower flow control valvefailing
to close fully, possibly due to
water borne debris.
Remove flow control valve
assembly and check. Refer to
maintenance section (page23)
before dismantling shower
valve.
Flow control valveseals
damaged.
Check condition of flowcontrol
valve and replace asnecessary
(refer to maintenance section
(page 23).
