Charging the Battery
Ifitisnecessarytochargethebattery,proceedasfollows:
1. Setgenerator’ssystemswitchto
OFF .
. Remove15Ampfusefromcontrolpanel.
3. Disconnectnegativebatterycabletonegativebattery
terminal(indicatedby NEGATIVE , NEG ,or( - ).
NOTICE
Failuretodisconnectnegativebatterycablewillresultin
equipmentfailure.
DONOTattempttojumpstartthebattery.
Damagetoequipmentresultingfromfailuretofollowthis
instructionwillvoidwarranty.

4. ChargebatterywithbatterychargeratAmpsuntil
batteryholds1Volts.
NOTE :DONOTexceed13.7Voltscharging.
WARNING
Storagebatteriesgiveoffexplosivehydrogen
gasduringrecharging.
Slightestsparkwillignitehydrogenandcause
explosion.
Batteryelectrolytefluidcontainsacidandis
extremelycaustic.

DONOTdisposeofbatteryinafire.

Wearprotectivegoggles,rubberapron,andrubber
gloves.
Removewatches,rings,orothermetalobjects.
Usetoolswithinsulatedhandles.

tothetransferswitch,thebatteryreceivesatricklecharge
whenevertheengineisnotrunning.Itmaytakeupto
7hourstofullychargeabatterywiththetricklecharge.
Thetricklechargeisnotabletorechargeabatterythatis
completelydischarged.
5. Connectnegativebatterycabletonegativebattery
terminal(indicatedby NEGATIVE , NEG ,or( - )).
6. Ensurehardwareonbothpositiveandnegativebattery
terminalsissecure.
7. Reinstall15Ampfuseincontrolpanel.
CAUTION
Installingthe15Afusecouldcausetheengine
tostart.
DONOTinstallthisfuseuntilallplumbingandwiringhas
beencompletedandinspected.

Servicing the Battery
Ifitisnecessarytoservicethebattery,proceedasfollows:
1. Remove“ControlPanel”accesscover.

4. Serviceorreplacebatteryasrequired.
NOTE: ReplaceONLYwithsametypebatteryasdescribedin

5. Connectredbatterycabletobatterypositiveterminal
(indicatedby POSITIVE , POS ,or( + )).
6. Connectnegativebatterycabletonegativebattery
terminal(indicatedby NEGATIVE , NEG ,or( - ).
7. Ensurehardwareonbothpositiveandnegativebattery
terminalsissecure.
8. Reinstall15Ampfuseincontrolpanel.
9. Setgenerator’ssystemswitchto
AUTO .
10. Install“ControlPanel”accesscover.
