GENERAL RULES FOR FOOD COOKING IN
MICROWAVE OVENS
• During food cooking, use microwave-safe cookware
by putting it on the glass tray.
• For even heating of products, put thicker slices of
products near the edges of the cookware.
• To speed up cooking process turn over fast food,
such as hamburgers, and large pieces of meat once
or several times.
• When cooking bacon, do not put it immediately on
the glass tray, local overheating of the glass tray can
lead to appearance of cracks in it.
• Cook products under a microwave-safe lid, the lid will
prevent juice or fat spattering and help food to cook
evenly.
• Follow the cooking time. Set the shortest possible
cooking time, if necessary, you can increase cooking
duration.
• Do not exceed the cooking time, it can lead to
burning of the products.
• Do not forget to open hermetic or vacuum package of
products before heating or cooking them. Otherwise
the pressure that will be created inside the package
can burst the package.
• Shell eggs and hard-boiled eggs should not be
cooked and heated up in the microwave oven since
they may explode due to increase of inner pressure
even after the switching the oven off.
• Pierce heavy skins of products (such as potatoes,
vegetable marrows or apples) in several places
before cooking.
• Feeding bottles and baby food jars should be placed
in the oven without lids and teats. The contents of
the container should be stirred or shaken periodically.
Before feeding the baby, always check the
temperature of the product, to avoid burns.
