Features
The scattered light smoke detector MSD 523 with digital signal processing and
intelligent logic has very good response behaviour with very few false alarms.
The MSD 523 is designed for connection to conventional control panels
evaluating a rise in current.

Revision / Maintenance
Note
: The MSD 523 has an alarm filter to prevent false alarms.
To check out the smoke detector the detector can be set into the inspection
mode. In this operating mode a curtailed alarm filter function can be activated.
For this purpose the operating voltage must be switched off for a minimum of
10 seconds, or the reset switch must be depressed on the SHE control panel
unit. The alarm filter is then non-functional for 17 minutes, and the smoke
detector can be checked out with the test gas cleared by STG-BEIKIRCH.
After this period of time has elapsed the alarm filter is automatically
reactivated.
