CLEVIS SET UP
Before setting your Brake Buddy® up for operation,
adjust the Quick-Lock
TM
Clevis to fit your brake
pedal. The initial set up is done easiest when the
clevis is not attached to the Brake Buddy®.
1.
Turn the bottom jaw (A) of the clevis to either
make the clevis smaller or wider so it fits over
your vehicle’s brake pedal. Set the clevis so that
it just fits over your brake pedal without too
much hassle.
2. Once on the brake pedal, twist the quick release
lever (B) to lock the clevis into place.
3. Once the
Quick-Lock
TM
Clevis is set, turn
the handle to remove the clevis from the
brake pedal.
4. To install the clevis on the Brake Buddy
®
unit,
pull the R-clip from the cotter pin to remove
the clevis from the threaded yoke (C).
5. Thread the yoke on the cylinder arm of the
Brake Buddy
®.
6. Replace the cotter pin and R-clip.

NOTE: You should see the clevis tighten
around the brake pedal to the point that it
locks into place. If it doesn’t lock into place
so that it doesn’t move, remove the clevis
from the brake pedal and turn the bottom
to tighten the original fit.
