• Sync Interval:
This setting has the same function in PTPv1 as it has in PTPv2.
The PTPv1 default for this setting is 2 seconds [log 1]. It should be noted however that some Dante devices require that
this is 1⁄2 second [log -1] or less.
• Min Delay Req Interval:
This interval is not supported by PTPv1, but is used internally by the DXD-8 when in PTPv1 mode. You may continue to use
the same setting as you would for PTPv2.
14. AVB - IEEE 802.1as (gPTP) Firmware Option
The DXD-8 supports 2 versions of the IEEE 802.1AS standard, the original version published in 2011 (802.1AS-2011) and the
latest revision published in 2020 (802.1AS-2020).
AVB support is optional on the DXD-8 and is purchased separately (DXD8/AVB). After the AVB Feature Key has been installed
in menu 10.5, the 2 versions of AVB can be selected in the Port Control menus under PTP Version.
AVB is a layer 2 protocol and requires AVB compliant switches.
