Turning the System On and Off

Turning Off

How to Turn Off

Emergency
Shutdown

In case of an emergency shutdown, turn off system by turning the main switch coun-
ter-clockwise to “O” position.

Waiting Periods

When disconnecting the system from the line voltage, you must wait at least 10 sec-
onds before reconnecting it.

Do not turn off the system during boot-up. Otherwise, configuration files and other
data on the hard disk may be damaged.

Loss of Data

Failure to follow system shutdown procedure prior to disconnecting the power may
result in irreversible loss of data.

Power Supply

The system is equipped with an uninterruptible power supply and is still powered after
the main power cord has been disconnected.

Extending Life of
Components

A system switch off after use is recommended. Some components may age more rap-
idly if the system is continuously powered. These components may have to be re-
placed more often than other system parts.

Steps

Ensure that software has been closed.

Shutdown the system.

Turn main switch counter-clockwise to “
