4 Replacing Assembly Units

4.10 Replacing the Power Unit

WARNING!
Mortal danger by electric shock!

Disconnect power supply!

Switch off compressed air!

WARNING!
Mortal danger by electric shock!
While switched-on, the power unit has a voltage of up to 380 V as a function of the
capacitor. However, when the printer or power unit is switched off, this voltage falls to
non dangerous levels (< 42 V) within one minute. Be aware of these hazards!

Remove the cover.
Dismount the CPU PCB as described in section 4.9.
Remove the three screws M4x6 (1) and the cover plate (3).
Pull out the following connectors from the power unit:

- power input (2)

- power cable (5)

- printhead power connection (6).
Remove the two screws (4) and the power supply.
To fit the new power supply follow the above steps in reverse order.
