UPV75 Series – Glossary of Terms 

 

 

Frozen Exhaust Vent Terminal 

If an exhaust vent terminal is blocked with ice or snow due to severe conditions, the pressure switch 

and control will not allow the burner to operate. This will result in a three flash status code. Once the 

blockage is removed (through melting or other means) the controls will let the burner operate. The 

position of the vent terminals in relation to each other and terminals from other appliances can have 

an effect on the potential for blockage due to ice or snow. 
See the installation instructions for recommended positioning of the terminals.
