BRABANTIA PRESSURE COOKER
Your Brabantia intelligent Pressure Cooker is an exciting new type of cooker using the
latest technology. It offers a combination of Pressure Cooker, rice cooker, cooker pot
and simmer pot - allowing the user to enjoy all the advantages of a multi-functional
pot. This, together with the upgraded operation panel and streamlined design, makes it
the perfect multi-functional cooker for the modern family.
GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic safety precautions must be followed,
including the following:
WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, fire or injury to persons:
1. Read all instructions before using this Pressure Cooker.
2. Use this Pressure Cooker only for its intended use as described in this manual.
3. Do not operate this Pressure Cooker if it has a damaged cord or plug, is not
working properly or has been damaged or dropped. If the supply cord is damaged,
it must be replaced by an authorized service centre in order to avoid a hazard.
4. WARNING: Do not allow children to use the Pressure Cooker without supervision.
5. WARNING: Liquids and foodstuffs must not be spilled or dropped on the electrical
components and connector.
6. WARNING: It is hazardous for anyone other than a trained person to carry out any
service or repair operation.
7. This Pressure Cooker is not intended for use by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety.
8. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the Pressure
Cooker.
9. Never leave the Pressure Cooker unsupervised. Switch off the Pressure Cooker
when it is not
in use, even if this is only for a short while.
10. This Pressure Cooker must be free-standing when working. It must not be placed
in a cabinet.
11. The temperature of accessible surfaces may increase dramatically when the
Pressure Cooker is operating. Be very careful!
12. This Pressure Cooker is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer
or separate remote control.
13. If smoke is emitted, switch off and unplug the Pressure Cooker immediately.
14. Cleaning: Do not immerse this Pressure Cooker in water. Unplug this product from
the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use
a lightly dampened cloth to clean the outer body and immediately wipe dry.
15. Attachments: Use only attachments recommended by the manufacturer. Use of
other attachments is prohibited.
16. Water and moisture: Do not use this Pressure Cooker near water (e.g. near a bath
tub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a wet basement or near a swimming
pool etc.).
17. The ducts in the pressure regulator allowing the escape of steam should be
checked regularly to ensure that they are not blocked.
18. Replacement parts: When replacement parts are required, be sure that your
service technician has used replacement parts specified by the manufacturer or
that have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorised substitutions
may result in fire, electric shock or other hazards.
19. Safety check: Upon completion of any service or repair to this product, ask the
service technician to perform safety checks to ensure that the product is in proper
operating condition.
20. Overloading: Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords or integral convenience
receptacles, as this may cause a fire or an electric shock.
21. If the AC/DC adapter is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device must
remain readily operable. To completely disconnect the power input, the AC/DC
adapter must be completely disconnected from the mains.
22. WARNING: Treat your Pressure Cooker gently. Never hit, bang or shake it.
23. This Pressure Cooker is intended to be used in household or similar applications
such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- Farm houses;
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- Bed and breakfast type environments
24. WARNING: Misuse of this multi-functional Pressure Cooker may create a fire
hazard and cause potential injury grinder or blender cover open.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
In order to use this Pressure Cooker safely, avoid accidents or product malfunction and
enjoy all the benefits of this Pressure Cooker, ensure that you understand and follow
all instructions carefully and heed all warnings and precautions.
1. Insert the cord into the dedicated Pressure Cooker socket. Before connecting to
the mains power ensure that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage of the
Pressure Cooker.
2. WARNING: In order to avoid scalding, ensure that the Pressure Cooker is kept out
of the reach of children.
3. Ensure that the Pressure Cooker is properly switched off when you have finished
cooking and disconnect it from the wall socket.
4. Ensure that the Pressure Cooker is standing on a solid, horizontal surface.
5. Ensure that the heating element, temperature sensor and the pot are dry and clean
before inserting the plug into the main power socket. Moisture and food residue may
cause the Pressure Cooker to malfunction.
6. Do not put anything on the pressure limiting valve and never use parts not supplied
with your Pressure Cooker.
7. Take care of the interior of the Pressure Cooker. Only use wooden or plastic spoons
to remove food.
8. For best results, the keep warm time should not exceed 6 hours so as not to spoil the
cooked food.
9. WARNING: During the cooking process, if the Pressure Cooker emits an excessive
amount of fumes or the pressure relief safety valve is not working or there are any
other signs of abnormal working, immediately disconnect the
Pressure Cooker from the wall socket. Allow the Pressure Cooker to cool down
completely and take your Pressure Cooker to the nearest authorised service centre
prior to using it again.
10. When moving the Pressure Cooker, ensure that you hold the body handle. Do not
move the appliance using the lid handle.
11. WARNING: When the float valve is still dropping do not try and open the lid.
12. WARNING: Danger of scalding! When the Pressure Cooker is working or has finished
working, the steel cover is very hot and subject to residual heat after use. Do not
touch the steel cover!
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
1. Never attempt to take apart or repair this Pressure Cooker yourself.
2. Do not use this Pressure Cooker with an external timer.
3. Never immerse the Pressure Cooker in water.
4. Do not put the inner pot on the stove to heat directly.
5. Do not expose this Pressure Cooker to high temperatures.
6. Do not put the Pressure Cooker on a stove or griller or other sources of heat.
7. Do not lift or move the Pressure Cooker when it is being used.
8. If the inner pot is demaged in any way, do not use it. Take your Pressure Cooker to
an authorised service centre.
9. Never use accessories or components produced by other manufacturers or not
supplied with your Pressure Cooker as doing so will void your
warranty.
10. If the sealing ring is damaged, ask an authorised service centre to replace it with an
original part.
11. Never use force to open the lid and do not open when the float valve is still
dropping.
12. Never cover the lid or the openings with a dishcloth or other object.
13. WARNING: Danger of scalding! When the exhaust valve is working, ensure that you
keep hands and faces well away from the Pressure Cooker and ensure that you do
not touch the lid.
MULTI-FUNCTIONAL AND EASY TO OPERATE
1. Use to cook, stew, steam and roast food such as meat, rice, cake, fish, vegetables,
noodles, yogurt etc.
2. Equipped with recorded cooking processes, ‘end of cooking’ alert and automatic
entry into holding/ insulation mode.
3. Equipped with 24 hour appointment time function, automatic count down after
setting time and automatic entry into cooking time.
4. For the first time usage of iron steamer, tear off the plastic over from steamer.
USING THE PRESSURE COOKER
1. To open: Hold the lid handle and turn the
cover clockwise to the limit and then gently
lift the lid (as shown in P1, P2).
2. Remove the inner pot and put food and
water into the pot.
NOTE:
- The maximum rice cooking capacity is
10 cups in a 5 litre Pressure Cooker and
12 cups in a 6 litre Pressure Cooker.
- When cooking rice, adjust the rice to water
ratio according to rice quantity and
personal preference.
- Solids and liquid together should not
exceed the 4/5 mark inside the inner pot
(see P3). For solids such as rice, meat or
fish etc, do not exceed the 3/5 mark inside
the inner pot (see P4). The 1/5 mark inside
the inner pot is the MIN mark for solids
and/or liquid (see P5).
- Clean the inner pot and the heating plate
before inserting into the outer pot and
ensure that food and debris are not left
in the heating pot or on the heating plate.
Rotate the lid to the left and to the right
to ensure that there is secure contact
between the inner pot and the heating
plate (as shown in P6).
- Close the lid by holding the top handle of
the lid and turn it clockwise until you
hear a clicking sound indicating that the
lid is completely closed (as shown in P7, P8).
NOTE:
- Check that the sealing ring is correctly
positioned before closing the lid.
- Rotate the aluminium cover left and right to
ensure that it is correctly placed before
closing the lid.
3. Turn the pressure valve to the closed position
and turn the lid anti-clockwise until you hear
a click. Check that it is properly sealed and
that the float valve is down.
(see P9a and P9b).
4. Select a cooking function. Once a cooking
function has been selected the corresponding
function indicator light will illuminate. For
example when you press the ‘rice’ button
the rice indicator light will illuminate.
5. During the cooking process the 4 digit
display screen will count down the cooking
time.
6. When cooking is complete the Pressure
Cooker will beep 3 times.
NOTE:
1. After cooking while the temperature is
still very high, the ‘keep warm’ indicator will
illuminate.
2. After the food is cooked and before
opening the lid, press the pressure valve to
release the pressure inside the Pressure
Cooker. Turn the pressure value to the open
position. Wait until the float valve drops
before removing the lid and taking the food
out of the inner pot (see 10a and 10b).
3. If the pot is in keep warm mode for more
than 12 hours the Pressure Cooker will
automatically revert to standby mode.
7. When cooking liquid foods (such as porridge,
soup etc.) and the Pressure Cooker goes into
‘keep warm’ mode, do not press the exhaust

button immediately. Wait a few minutes
until the float-valve starts to drop, if you do
not wait the boiling steam from the liquid will spurt from the pressure valve. In
order to speed up the cooling process, cover the lid with a cool wet cloth to speed
up cooling.
8. To use the steamer plate:
8.1 Pour water into inner pot to a level above the 1/5 mark.
8.2 Insert steamer plate into the correct groove in inner pot.
8.3 Place food onto steam plate and then close the lid.
8.4 Select ‘Steamer’ function. Within 5 seconds the steaming process will
commence.
9. Disconnect the power plug before opening the lid.
FUNCTION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: The pictures in this manual are for illustrative purposes only and may vary in look
and colour from your actual Pressure Cooker.
Preset Delay Function
1. Select a function and press the ‘Preset’ button to preset the function start/delay start
time.
NOTE: You cannot preset the time when in Standby mode.
Pressure Holding Function
1. Every cooking function has a corresponding pressure holding time. The default
pressure holding time is 2 minutes. Adjust this time as needed but note that once
the program starts, this key will not work.
Warm/Cancel Function
1. In standby mode, ie. when display screen reads “0000”, press the ‘Warm/Cancel’
button to enter into warm mode.
2. In working or adjusting mode, press the ‘Warm/Cancel’ button to enter into: ‘Cancel
mode/cancel all functions’. Display reads "bb" means the pressure cooker go into
keep warm automatically.
Special Functions
1. Select high or low pressure when cooking rice/milk porridge; stewing/steaming soup
or meat and for baking cakes. NOTE: Do not use pressure when slow cooking.
NOTE: Move the pressure value position to open when slow cooking.
2. Preset, high or low pressure: Press the “function” button to select for example the
rice function. When the ”rice” icon in the display screen illuminates and shows the
default pressure keeping time of 12 minutes, set the pressure keeping time
according to your preference. Press the “preset” button after setting the time and
after 5 seconds the preset function will automatically start. NOTE: If you do not
select a pressure the default pressure will be medium. NOTE: If you select either
high pressure or low pressure, the indicator light will turn on during the cooking
time.
COOKING FUNCTIONS
Example Using Rice
Cooking Function
1. Press the rice button and the display
will show the default 00:12 cooking time.
Preset The Delay Start Cooking Function
1. Select the rice function and set the preset delay start time. The digital display
default time is 00:10. Adjust the delay start time using the "+" (plus) or "-" (minus)
button to adjust the delay start time in intervals of 10 minutes. If the set time is set
as 00:40, then the rice function will automatically start after 40 minutes.
For the adjustment of the cooking time:
1. The first step is to choose the cooking function: meat
The display shows P 13 which means default time is 13 minutes. It will flash for 5
seconds and display shows “00:13”, then starts working.
2. If you want to adjust the time, the second step is use the “+” or “-“ to adjust it.
The display shows P 13, you can push “+” to add up per minutes …P14, P15, P16
up to P30. After setting (e.g. P30), it will flash for 5 seconds and the display shows
“00:30”, then starts working.
Please pay attention that you need to have this action within 5 second (when the
display is flashing). After 5 seconds, it will go back to the working stage and cannot
be adjusted anymore.
*For every setting, you can press “Warm/Cancel” button to reset again.
For the delay (preset) cooking setting:

The display appears P 13 which means default time is 13 minutes. It will flash for 5
seconds and start working.
ADVANCED STRUCTURE AND SAFETY FEATURES
Pressure limiting safety device
When the pressure in the inner pot is greater than the maximum working pressure, the
pressure limiting valve will expel the extra pressure automatically.
Safety relief device
If the pressure limiting device loses efficacy or does not work for any other reason, the
safety relief device will automatically exhaust the extra pressure in order to avoid a
hazardous situation. (If this should happen, immediately disconnect your appliance, wait
for it to cool down and take it to the nearest authorised service centre for repair).
Temperature limiting safety device
If the inner pot temperature exceeds the limited working temperature, the temperature
limiting device will automatically shut down the cooker until it cools down. Once cool, it
will resume working.
Over temperature safety device
If the inner pot temperature exceeds the temperature limit, the over temperature safety
device will automatically cut off the cooker’s power supply. (If this should happen,
immediately disconnect your appliance, wait for it to cool down and take it to the
nearest authorised service centre for repair).
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
1. Before cleaning, please switch off the power.
2. Never submerge the Pressure Cooker body in water to clean. Wipe the outer body
with a lightly dampened cloth and some household detergent and immediately wipe
dry.
3. After each use, remove the water collecting box, discard the water stored in it,
clean it thoroughly with warm water, dry and re-install.
4. Clean the silicone seal ring, pressure valve, exhaust hole and float valve in warm
water and dry thoroughly.
5. Never use metal scrapers, wire or abrasive materials to clean the inner pot. Avoid
damaging the non-stick coating of the inner pot.
6. Clean the pressure valve and exhaust holes with a soft, small brush to ensure that
they are not blocked
RECIPES
Pulled Pork
Serves: 4 | Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1.8kg / 4lbs pork shoulder
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 x 340g bottles barbecue sauce
Instructions:
1. With the lid off, season the pork with garlic powder, salt and pepper in the inner
pot.
2. Fill with enough water to cover.
3. Close the lid and set pressure release valve to closed. Press MEAT FUNCTION and
adjust timer to 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes release pressure and open the lid. Drain off juices, reserving
250-300ml.
5. Shred the pork and mix with barbecue sauce, adding reserved liquid if needed to
reach your desired consistency.
Note: When you shred the pork and find that is not yet well done, put it back into
the inner pot. Press MEAT FUNCTION one more time and adjust the time if needed.
2. The second step is use the + or - to adjust cooking time (same as above)
The display appears P 13, you can push “+” to add up per minutes …P14, P15, P16
up to P30. After setting, it will flash for 5 seconds and start working.
3. If you want to delay the cooking time, the third step is “Press the preset key” and
use the “+” or “-“ to adjust the preset time.
e.g. you adjust the cooking time as P 30, display appears P 30. And press “Preset”
button, it will appear “0:10” means 10 minutes. Use the “+” or “-“ to adjust the
preset time. It will flash for 5 seconds and go to timing count down mode. Once
count down finish, it will go back to working stage.
You can delay or preset the time of starting pressure cooking from 10 minutes up to
24 hours. 10 minutes per interval for press “+” or “-“ one time. Keep pressing the
“+’ or “-“ will keep the time change.
Please pay attention that you need to have this action within 5 second (when the
display is flashing). After 5 second, it will go back to the working stage and cannot
adjust any more.
*For every setting, you can press “Warm/Cancel” button to reset again.
Cooked Chicken
Serves: 4 | Cooking time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1 chicken approximately 1000 - 1200g
• 1 medium onion, peeled and diced
• 1 medium carrot, washed and sliced
• 1 celery stalk, washed and diced
• 2 dried bay leaves
• Seasoning
Instructions: Chicken with soup
1. Place the chicken in the inner pot, breast side down.
2. Add the vegetables and bay leaves and cover with room temperature water to cover
the chicken or to the 4/5 fill line.
3. Close the lid and set the pressure release valve to closed, press MEAT FUNCTION
and adjust time to 30 minutes.
Note: The timer will only count down when the water starts boiling.
4. Press CANCEL and leave for 5 minutes
5. Release pressure and then remove the lid and serve chicken with soup as desired.
Instructions: Chicken with vegetables
1. Place the vegetables and bay leaves into the inner port.
2. Place the chicken on the vegetables with breast side down with 50ml water.
3. Close the lid and set the pressure release valve to closed, press MEAT FUNCTION.
4. Press CANCEL and leave for 5 minutes.
5. Release pressure and then remove the lid and serve the chicken as desired. The
stock is wonderful to use for soups or gravy.
Dim Sum
Serves: 10 | Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
• 1 large porcini or shiitake dried mushrooms
• Hot water
• 100g minced pork
• 100g prawns, shelled, deveined and chopped fine
• 2 tbsp water chestnuts, chopped fine
• 2 spring onions, white parts only, finely diced
• 2 tsp soy sauce
• 1 tsp dry sherry
• 1 tsp sesame oil
• 1 tsp cornflour
• ½ tsp sugar
• 1 pinch Chinese pepper
• 10 3½” size round won ton wrappers (available at a chinese supermarket)
Instructions:
1. Soak the mushroom in the HOT water until softened (about 20 minutes). Drain.
Remove and discard the stem and the tough centre. Chop very fine.
2. Mix the mushroom, pork, prawns, water chestnuts, spring onions, soy sauce, sherry,
sesame oil, cornflour, sugar, salt and pepper together. Place a generous tsp of the
mixture on the centre of each won ton wrapper.
3. Bring the sides of the wrappers up around the filling. Pinch the tops together to
form bundles around the filling. Press down lightly on the filling. Tie top with strips
of the green spring onion.
4. Fill the inner pot water up to the minimum line and place the steamer tray into the
pot. Place the dim sum on the tray (this may have to be done in batches). Close the
lid and set the pressure release valve to closed. Press STEAM FUNCTION and adjust
timer to 5 minutes.
5. Remove the dim sum - keep them warm while additional batches are cooked.
6. Serve warm with a sweet chilli, hoisin or soy sauce.
Smoked and Fresh Salmon Terrine
Serves: 6 | Cooking time: 1¼ hours in mini tins or 2 hrs in a deep loaf tin
Ingredients:
• 250g skinless salmon fillet, cut into chunks
• 1 tsp finely grated orange zest
• 2 tsp orange juice
• 4 tbsp chopped fresh dill or fennel fern
• Cracked black pepper
• 220g smoked salmon
• 2 egg whites, lightly whipped
• 125 ml whipping cream
• Baby leaf salad or beetroot salad leaves, to serve with a nutty balsamic dressing
• 454 g loaf tin (1x1lb loaf tin) lightly oiled and base lined with greaseproof paper or
3 mini loaf tins prepared as for larger tin
Instructions:
1. Put the chunks of fresh salmon into a food processor with the orange zest, orange
juice, dill or fennel fern and plenty of pepper. Blend until smooth. Remove the bowl
from the food processor, cover and chill.
2. Meanwhile, roughly chop half the smoked salmon. Put the bowl back on the
processor. With the machine running, add the whisked egg whites through the tube,
then the cream. Blend until thick and smooth – do not overwork or it will curdle.
Scrape into a bowl and stir in the smoked salmon.
3. Carefully fill the prepared terrine or mini terrines with the mixture, packing down
well. Level the surface and cover the top with buttered greaseproof paper. Stand in
Pressure Cooker and pour in hot water (bain marie) to come halfway up the sides.
Place on the lid and press the SLOW COOK setting for 2 hrs or 1¼ hrs if using the
small terrines until firm.
4. Press CANCEL and remove from the Pressure Cooker and let cool completely, then
chill in the refrigerator. Loosen the edges with a thin knife and turn out on to a
wooden board. Trim and tidy up the edges and pat dry. Wrap the terrine with the
remaining smoked salmon, pressing down well, then transfer to a flat serving
platter.
5. Put the salad leaves in a small bowl, whisk the dressing ingredients together, then
pour over the leaves and toss gently. Slice the terrine with a very sharp knife and
serve with the salad.

Steamed Mediterranean Style Fish
Serves: 4 | Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients:
• 4 white fish fillets (any white fish)
• 500g cherry tomatoes, halved
• 200-250g black salt-cured olives
• 2 tbsp pickled capers
• 1 bunch of fresh oregano
• Olive oil
• 1 clove of garlic, pressed
• Salt and pepper
Instructions:
1. Line the bottom of the inner pot with half of the cherry tomatoes (to keep the fish
from sticking), add oregano (reserve a few sprigs for garnish).
2. Place the fish fillets, over the cherry tomatoes, sprinkle with remaining tomatoes,
crushed garlic, capers, a dash of olive oil and a pinch of salt.
3. Insert the dish in the Pressure Cooker. Close the lid and set the pressure release
valve to closed.
4. Press the FISH FUNCTION.
NOTE: All cooking times and methods included in this manual are suggestions only.
Personal preferences by customers will involve you in testing times/methods by yourself
in order to achieve the desired results for your cooking/eating style.

at the end of its working life. To prevent possible harm to the environment or human
health from uncontrolled waste disposal, please separate this from other types of wastes
and recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of material resources.
Household users should contact either the retailer where they purchased this product or
their local authority office, for details of where and how they can take this item for
environmentally safe recycling.
WARRANTY
In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your Pressure Cooker, please be
aware that your Brabantia Pressure Cooker has a warranty.
Warranty exclusions:
The warranty will not be valid if:
• The product has not been installed, operated or maintained in accordance with the
manufacturer's operating instructions provided with the product.
• The product has been used for any purpose other than its intended function.
• The damage or malfunction of the product is caused by any of the following:
