The Trailer Monitor is a diagnostic system mounted on the
side of the trailer to read mileage, that can be diagnostic
codes and other information from the ECO Tronic EBS.
The Trailer Monitor is connected to the „DIAG“ diagnostic
port on the EBS. With power being supplied to the EBS via
the 7-pin ISO 7638 socket, vehicle information is transmitted
from the EBS to the Trailer Monitor, that can be displayed.
The power supply for the Trailer Monitor is provided via the
diagnostic connection on the EBS.
Two different versions of the Trailer Monitor are available:
1. Trailer Monitor with ADR approval, without internal
battery.
2. Trailer Monitor without ADR approval (not for hazardous
goods), including battery.
The internal battery ensures that information (including
error display) can also be displayed when the system is
not connected to an external power supply.
The Trailer Monitor does not need to be shut off. If none
of the display buttons is pressed, the Trailer Monitor is
switched off automatically after approx. 1 minute if operated
in battery mode. The ADR version (without battery) of the
Trailer Monitor can only be operated when the ECO Tronic
EBS is supplied with power.
