In order to record with the BOYA BY-V0l, it must be connected to the camera
or recorder.
1. Make sure the power on the BY-V01 is turned off.
2.
Connect the BY-V0l by plugging the 3.5mm mini-plug into the AUDIO IN jack
of the camera or recorder.
If using a boom pole, you will need an extension cable (sold separately).
Recording with the BV-V01
Once the BY-V01 is securely attached to the camera or recorder, turn
the microphone on by pressing the POWER button to the ON position.

TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Solution
No sound
is being
recorded
Make sure a fresh LR44 battery is installed and is in
the
proper orientation in the battery compartment.
Make sure
the power buttons is the "ON" position.
Make sure the
3.5mm mini jack is plugged into the
correct AUDIO INPUT
jack on the device to which
you are recording.
Make sure your video camera, DSLR camera, or audio
recorder is in record mode and the record level is
properly set if necessary.
