16. iPod OPERATION
This unit is equipped with iPod Ready function which allow end user to connect the iPod thru the front
panel 3.5mm A/V In Jack.

Operation the iPod
All the operation of the iPod still remains on the iPod unit itself. The volume level of the iPod
can be controlled by the units Encoder Volume Knob.
Switch to iPod Mode
When the Head unit is power on and iPod is connected to the panel A/V In Jack, press the mode
button to “AV-In 2” mode to get into iPod mode
: The iPod must be in Power On mode, this unit cannot power on the iPod automaticaly.
Always set the Panel AV Jack to “IN”, if the Panel AV Jack is set to “OUT”, there is no Audio
and Video output from this unit. For the details operation of Panel AV Jack IN or OUT
setting, please refer to “ Menu operation - AV Jack ”.
Noted of iPod Video Playback on this unit
Before starting the iPod Video Playback on this unit, please make sure to have the iPod Video
setting as follow:
1) Go to the “Videos” Menu of the iPod Video
2) Go to the “Video Settings”
3) Go to the “TV OUT” & set it to “ON”
4) Then select on the iPod Video the Video file you would like to play & press “Play”
Please always follow the above steps to play iPod video file, otherwise this unit can only playback the
Audio signal on the iPod, the Video signal cannot be output to this unit.
Always completed the above set up on the iPod before you connecting the iPod cable to this unit.
Noted of iPod Photo Playback on this unit
Before starting the iPod Photo Playback on this unit, please make sure to have the iPod Video setting as
follow:
1) Go to the “Photos” Menu of the iPod Video
2) Go to the “Slide Show Setting”
3) Go to the “TV OUT” & set it to “ON”
4) Then select on the iPod Video the photo file you would like to play & press “Play”
Please always follow the above steps to play iPod photo file, otherwise this unit cannot display the iPod
photo file.
Always completed the above set up on the iPod before you connecting the iPod cable to this unit.
