Replacing the motor and/or gear
Please note:
• The end faces of the motor and gear must be undamaged.
• The gear hub comes lubricated with anti-seize lubricant.
• If only the motor is to be replaced: grease the gear hub with anti-seize.
• Do
not tilt the motor, and make sure it has the necessary clearance area for
installation.
• Install the motor in the proper position (terminal box) and connect it to the gear.
If the motor is not in the proper position: do
NOT rotate the motor. Disconnect the
motor from the gear and reconnect it.
It is possible to replace the
motor and/or the gear when
the HQ 2/U-H is installed in
the section.
If only the motor is to be
removed, start with pos. 5.
1.
Remove the roller chain
(see page 53).
2.
Remove the motor-gear
combination.
3.
Remove the hanger from
the fl ange (G).
4.
Remove the fl ange (G)
from the gear.
5.
Loosen the hexagon
screws on the gear
fl ange.
6.
Disconnect the defective
gear from the motor.
Remove the yellow
protective cap (X) from
the motor shaft of the
new motor.
Grease the motor shaft.
7.
Install the motor.
8.
Install the motor-gear
combination in reverse
order.
9.
Check the tension of the
roller chains (see page
53) and correct the
tension if necessary.
